50th HIGH SCHOOL REUNION

September 28-30, 2012

Registration is now open!

Click on the link that says:
"Reunion Registration" in the left side navigation menu
            and make your reservations today.
A complete event schedule is available in the link
 "50th Reunion Weekend."

Our reunion committee met for the first time on December 8, 2010. We are now hard at work finding and gathering contact information for over 500 classmates so we can keep everyone informed about all the exciting activities we are planning for our reunion weekend in September, 2012.

HOW YOU CAN HELP US:

1. Please take a few minutes to create your personalized profile in order to access the password protected pages on this site. Click on "Classmate Profiles" on the left side of this page. Once there, click on your name and follow the prompts to create your profile. NOTE: If you don't wish to have your address and/or phone number displayed on your Profile Page, you can hide it by unchecking the box by Contact Details (located near the bottom of the page.) Please do not remove your address and phone number from your Profile Page (just hide it.) We need to be able to contact you and send you registration materials in the mail.

It is very important to include your current email address. You will log on with this email address and the password you create when you set up your member account. Write this down on the back of your hand! And if your contact information or email address changes, please update your profile and Contact Info using the "Edit Profile" and "Edit Contact Info" links in the left side menu.

In order to ensure you receive important messages from our class web site, as well as messages sent directly to you from other Classmates, it's important you whitelist the email address noreply@classcreator.net (that's a .net, not a .com).

What is whitelisting? Whitelisting simply means you are telling your email program to accept all emails coming from our class web site and our Classmates. The technique for whitelisting varies by email program, but generally you will see the term "Whitelist," "Safe List," or "Safe Sender's List." This is where you want to be sure you have added the email address noreply@classcreator.net.

We have posted your yearbook picture on your profile page. Please upload current photos by clicking on "Edit/Upload Photos" in the "Member Functions" section from the menu on the left side of this page. Classmates will be able to see you THEN and NOW!

If you do not find your name under "Classmate Profiles," please click on "Contact Us" to send us an email, and we will see that you are added.

2. If you have information about "Missing Classmates," please let us know. If you are on Facebook or if you have your own blog, please tell people about our website.

3. Since YOU are the stars of the reunion, let's rekindle old memories of our days at HPHS and before by sharing photos of field trips, sports, proms, dances in the gym, groups of friends, days spent at Riverview, Rosewood Beach, Hal's, etc. Go to "Photo Memories," click on "Create Your Own Photo Gallery Here," and follow the instructions. You can easily add captions to your photos.

4. Please take a few minutes to visit the "In Memory" section. To add any personal stories or information about a classmate who passed away, just click on his/her name and then on "Post Comment."  If you know of anyone who should be added to this list, click on "Contact Us."

5. Click on "First Visit and FAQ" for more information and answers to questions about this site. For "Classmate to Classmates" posts go to "Message Forum" to look for or help find friends you want to reconnect with.

6. Below is a Jukebox "Pop-out Player" loaded with the top songs from 1957-1962. When you click on it, a new window will open and you can listen to the music of our youth while you come back to our window to browse our other pages. In the left margin menu you'll also find a link to it called JUKEBOX. When you press "Play," it will only play on the Jukebox page. In order to play it while you're browsing other pages on our site, you need to click on its "Pop-out Player" first or open a new window or tab yourself.

We hope you enjoy visiting your reunion site. Check out all the sections on the menu on the left side of the home page. This is a work in progress, so log on often as we continue to add important information about the reunion weekend, plus new and, we hope, fun and interesting items. If you have any information you would like us to add, please click on "Contact Us."

Looking forward to reconnecting,

HPHS 50th REUNION COMMITTEE

Kudos for Tom Weinberg

Read his blurb in Announcements and check out the project's website: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/235602734/minnie-minoso-the-documentary-0?ref=email

Here's a really nice article about Tom in the Chicago Tribune:
